The American Planning Association is the professional organization for certified planners in the United States.

ICSC is a global retail real estate organization dedicated to connecting its members and promoting business growth.

Resources

ESRI is the leader of Geographic Information Systems. Urban Decision Group often utilizes ESRI products and data in its work.

Google’s search engine is where a good deal of research begins, but we’re really digging Google as a resource for APIs and web tools these days.

Ribbon Demographics provides HISTA data useful for real estate marketing analysis.

Smart Growth America is a coalition of like minded organizations and individuals dedicated to growing and sustaining great, healthy and beautiful neighborhoods.

Census data is the backbone to development projects. Urban Decision Group spends a fair amount of time here.

The American Community Survey supplements Census data with socioeconomic information gathered from ongoing surveys sampled from communities across the United States.
